NOX VASE

£50.00

The NOX Vase is made from discarded Nitrous Oxide canisters which are littered across Park Royal and beyond. Nitrous Oxide is a gas which is used to make whipped cream – but is also used recreationally as a drug (and then tossed out of car windows onto the streets).

The vases were designed and made in workshops in 2024, by a team of local young people led by artist Shanayah Dadral. The young people learnt how to process the canisters; cut and file them with hand-tools; create prototypes and make design decisions; scour and polish them; and engrave them with the Absolute Beginners logo.

The vases are 100% reclaimed aluminium and 98% off-grid (we only use electricity for the Dremel to engrave them, the rest is pure 💪).

21 cm tall.
7.5 cm diameter.
